My Approach
Caring. Reliable. Trustworthy. These are all attributes that you look for in someone that will be caring for yourself or your family member.
I was sole carer for my father for 27 years, who suffered from Parkinson’s and later developed dementia.
I have a personal understanding of how challenging both mental and physical ailments can be for the individual and their family.
My Story
I have worked for the NHS for over 25 years, and I have volunteered and worked for Age UK for the last three years, befriending lonely and vulnerable senior citizens, taking them shopping, to medical appointments and having a chat over a cup of tea.
I am now a Dementia Friend, a course that makes you more aware. There’s more to a person than the dementia.
Alzheimer’s Society’s Dementia Friends programme is the biggest ever initiative to change people’s perceptions of dementia. It aims to transform the way the nation thinks, acts and talks about the condition.
Transport
I have transportation available for those who require it; no matter what your needs, I can pick you up and take you to where you need to go. Alternately, I can collect you from appointments as required, or just take you for a drive and a cup of tea.
Meet the Team
I have a personal understanding of how challenging both mental and physical ailments can be for an individual and their family and as an approved pet therapy dog owner, my dog Stanley and I can brighten up anyone’s day!

Pet Therapist and all round Wonder Dog – now retired (Sept 2024)
After many years of being cute and playful, and making people smile, I have decided to hang up my pet therapy bandana and retire. I will always like people, dog biscuits and wagging my tail; and I will always make people smile when they meet me; but I am now going to spend my golden years napping, snacking and getting lots of love. Woof.
